Art of the Unreal
Jocelin Carmes
Highly limited art print

Hey, I'm Jocelin Carmes, a freelance digital illustrator and concept artist, and I’ve been immersed in the world of illustration for over four years now. Based in Marseille, I love crafting vivid, imaginative worlds through my art, always aiming to invite viewers to dive deeper into the scenes I create, to explore, to question, and to get lost in the story behind each piece.

Storytelling is at the core of my work. Whether it’s a sprawling environment or a complex visual world, my goal is to spark curiosity, encouraging people to imagine what lies beyond the frame. Playing with scale is a key part of this process, blending grand, imposing elements with smaller, intricate details to create a balance that both grabs attention and rewards closer inspection.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to collaborate with wonderful people in the industry, including Sony Animation, Netflix, Wizards of the Coast, Riot Games, The Line Animation, Envar Studio, Brunch Studio and more.My journey started in the video game industry, but over time I gravitated towards animation and visual development, where I truly found my passion for bringing stories to life"
